Went because there was a vintage car and bike gathering and also to have a meal. The fish was fresh and a good size. The batter wasn't soggy and was nice and crispy. The chips were similar to proper chip shop chips and really good. The lasagne was amazing and had a good amount of cheese. There's a choice of sides and if you get the chips there's the perfect amount to go along with it. The service was quick and the staff were super friendly and jolly. It's definitely worth the money and would 100% recommend.- Price per person

A-mazing Sunday lunch. Properly good. All done in house, real gravy, all top quality food. Good choice of beer on draft. Really friendly service. Can't recommend it enough. Lush. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

There was 12 sitting down for the meal. The staff were attentive and friendly. It was a Sunday lunchtime, when their main food is a Sunday roast. Some requested different than the roast and this was no problem for the staff. The food arrived at the same time and was nicely presented. There was a good variety of vegetables which were served in separate dishes and there was plenty. A good selection of desserts which the staff sorted to everyones choice.
A good time was had by all. So thank you very much for the high standard of service!
Would highly recommend and are definitely going back!- Food

We came here after we had been let down by another pub which had stopped serving food and we are so glad we found The Red Lion. The service was very friendly and welcoming. They are very passionate about their food. All the food we had was fresh and tasty. The Cajun chicken was excellent. I would highly recommend The Red Lion if you are in the area.

The Hosts at the Red Lion Digby go above and beyond to provide a friendly welcoming environment to enjoy wonderful Food from a varied menu choice. Four of us ate heartily and every choice was hot, tasty and home cooked. The dessert menu was equally varied. Visit the Red Lion, you won't be disappointed. A BIG thankyou from the visitors to the area from Scotland. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Mothers day at the Red Lion Digby was exceptional today. The food was amazing served by lovely staff that treated us like we were the the only ones in the restaurant. All freshly cooked vegetables, plenty to choose from. The honey roasted parsnips were my favourite. Lovely sized portions. I have a gluten intolerance and they were very careful with my food even though the restaurant was full. So if you have a food allergy you can be assured you'll be well looked after in The Red Lion. Many thanks to Tina and Nicki and your lovely staff. You all work so hard to make sure you're customers are treated like royalty.- Food

My wife and I have just returned from a superb Easter Sunday lunch. I can highly recommend the brie pacels with mango as a first course. This we followed with the lamb roast which we both thought was exceptional. Copious amounts of succulent lamb was accompanied by roast potatoes, honey roast parsnips which I must say were the best I ever tasted, rough mashed potatoes, rough mashed carrot and swede and stuffing, bacon roll, with superb Yorkshire pudding. I should pount iut that we declined the cauliflower cheese and the creamed leeks as it was obvious to us that we already had a challenge on iur hands. My wife finished her meal with a substantial portion of bread and butter pudding with custard which she declared to be "a PROPER pudding".
Total bill, including drinks before and after meal came in UNDER £65.00. In the present climate to be served such exquisite food by attentive, professional staff in such cordial surroundings is outstanding. Definitely we will be returning and certainly one you shouldn't miss...... See you there.- Price per person

Having heard lots of good things about this place in recent years, I thought I'd take my lass there for a treat.
Well. Not a great start as the windowsills were peeling like a Brit in Benidorm!
Then they said they weren't serving food til five! I got the young man (Tim) to stop pulling the pint of old peculiar and felt there was no choice but to leave.
There were a lovely couple behind us with cockerpoo called blue and a we chatted, then in came a black lab called Rigby and we decided to stay the extra hour.
Made most welcome and I used their WiFi to do some work in the dining room.
Then the food, so, I wasn't sure about the apricot pork with peas and rice and carrots. But risked it and it was excellent. My daughter fancied a fillet steak but went for the blade of beef instead.
A shooting party came in having just had beaters day and I cannot praise that pub enough. Its not over rated in the least. (which is often the case)
The decor speaks for itself and Tim provided excellent and I mean excellent service. I doubt I'll be back but its one Saturday afternoon I'll never forget.
Proper pub, great beer, wonderful people, classy surroundings.
Thank you for having us!Feels like a locals pub, and was nice and peaceful after a days hiking. Food was incredible this evening, starter and main were both absolute tops, steak done to perfection, Stilton sauce was beautiful. Just gutted not enough space for pud! Mid-price range and very good value for the quality. This was the Red Lion Trio - rump, home-breadcrumbed chicken breast and crispy scampi. We'll be back!

What a pleasant pub. We visited this pub on a Sunday after booking a table last minute. Even though the restaurant was fully booked they made the effort to squeeze us in on two tables pushed together in the bar. The food was fabulous, with a wide range of beers and ciders on offer. They even sold pickled eggs! The decor was fresh and well maintained and the toilets we clean. We can wholeheartedly recommend this pub for either food or drinking.Dropped in on the off chance for Sunday lunch and boy am i glad I did generous portions enough veg for 3 let alone 2 will certainly return.

Try the Sunday roast, portions and quality of food is a credit to the landladies. Had the option of 3 meats, plenty of veg all served separately and then a MASSIVE jug of gravy, much to my delight. Definitely be back
